Hello - my name is Rosanna, owner of Filly Coffee Co. How did it all begin? The story unfolds by trying too many bad cups of coffee and my travels to Europe resulting in creating my own blend (s) the "Travelers Blend" as the first blend. The business started in October of 2019 as PeachyGifts Coffee in PA even though much happened since its inception for so many of us, such as environmental changes; I would love to say it's been two years but is more like starting the biz over again in which I have.
Over many months and during the pandemic while in PA, and after beating my head against the wall, trying to re-create my little dream and keep afloat, I knew changes needed to occur, a new transformation. Here I am today excited to introduce to you Filly Coffee Co.
I closed my business in PA in October of 2021 and formed a new LLC in NC where I have now introduced my Li'l "Bison", a coffee shop on wheels, and happy to call this home. I was fortunate enough to keep the name. Why Filly? West Chester, PA was my inspiration, horse farmlands everywhere you looked, and the Brandywine Valley, and who doesn't love horses right! Filly stands for a young female horse as the inspiration for my vintage horse trailer. I purchased Li'l Bison in 2020 as a working horse trailer, the trailer was revamped, painted, and stripped and was completed in April of 2021 in Lancaster, PA; although never introduced in PA.
You may probably be wondering why I named the trailer "Bison", I get this question asked all the time. The trailer is about 20 years old and when purchased, it had an old sticker with the name "bison" and a picture of a Bison, and as it turns out that was the name of the manufacturer.
My passion for excellence has driven me from the beginning and continues to challenge me into the future. Keeping my customers happy is key and I strive to make the entire coffee/service experience as rewarding and fun as possible. Check my online store to shop for delicious coffee, check the pop-ups, book an event and get in touch with questions or requests.
Cheers to all small business owners! Women-owned, and women in the coffee industry.
Best Wishes to all your life journeys!
